We took a job when the customer brought in a AK that he had purchased and the barrel had been cut with a hacksaw and there was no possible way to add a flash hider on the muzzle.
Since the owner could not do anything to install a normal offered flash hider we took a flash hider we had in stock and did a few things to it. First we cut the access length off the flash hider and then created an internal bushing out of 4041 steel and pressed it into the back end of the flash hider with our press. We then proceeded to drill and install a set screw so that the hider could be installed and be removed. The flash hider was then installed onto the barrel.
